The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce that Clint Williams will serve as the Center’s Director of Development, effective May 13.

Williams has over 11 years of relevant experience in fundraising and strategic planning, including working with nonprofit organizations The Xenia Institute and HeartLine.

“Clint’s work to positively affect change in his community makes him a great fit for the position,” said Kirk Jewell, president of the OSU Foundation. “His experience and education will serve him well as he embraces The McKnight Center’s strategic plan and works to increase support for them.”

Williams hold Bachelor of Arts degrees in Musical Arts and Religious Studies from the University of Oklahoma and is an avid trumpet player, singer and choral conductor. A natural leader, Williams represented Ward 2 on the Norman City Council from 2014 to 2016 and completed his terms of service on the City of Norman Human Rights Commission, the Norman Justice Alliance and the Sinfonia Educational Foundation. Williams also served as the executive director of Mary Abbott Children’s House in Norman for five years. After that, Williams worked as the director of development for the Oxley College of Health Sciences at the University of Tulsa and as the director of corporate and foundation relations.

The McKnight Center will commence its Inaugural Season with an opening night gala and concert in October featuring the New York Philharmonic with Oklahoma native and Tony Award-winner Kelli O’Hara. After the kickoff gala, the Center, which holds 1,098 seats in the performance hall and 217 seats in the intimate recital hall, will offer a range of performances including Broadway productions, classical concerts and family-friendly shows.
