Stephen Schwartz is the iconic composer of the Broadway classics Wicked, Pippin, and Godspell. This concert event features Schwartz at the piano joined by a cast of his Broadway vocalist friends, all backed by a twelve-piece pops orchestra. The evening celebrates five decades of his Broadway and Hollywood songbook, including hits from Wicked, Pocahontas, Enchanted, The Prince of Egypt, Children of Eden, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and more.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Stephen Schwartz wrote the music and lyrics for the current Broadway hit Wicked, and has also contributed music and lyrics to Godspell, Pippin, The Magic Show, The Baker’s Wife, Working, Children of Eden, and for young audiences, My Son Pinocchio and Captain Louie. He collaborated with Leonard Bernstein on the English texts for Bernstein’s Mass and wrote lyrics for Rags, music by Charles Strouse. He has also worked in film, collaborating with Alan Menken on the songs for Disney’s Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Enchanted and writing the songs for the DreamWorks animated feature The Prince of Egypt. His most recent musical, The Queen of Versailles, opened on Broadway in 2025. Mr. Schwartz has been inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and has been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
